Alone [SFM]

It wasn't meant to be like this. This was supposed to be a simple job; a routine which never changed. Miss Pauling began to recall what had happened prior to her current predicament. She received a call that the RED mercenaries had completed their task, but left several witnesses unscathed. As usual, it would fall on her to eliminate these surviving victims. But as soon as she arrived on the empty battlefield, Miss Pauling noticed something was amiss. There were no signs of the BLU mercenaries anyway; no groans and cries of agony to follow. As she headed deeper inside the facility, she carefully observed the smears of blood covering the walls. It was not an unfamiliar sight to her, but something about these blood marks seemed... off. As she continued forward, the power inside the mill suddenly shut off, leaving nothing but darkness around the young mistress. Understandably shaken by this, Miss Pauling unholstered her weapon and aimed it towards every corner of the room. But nobody was around. She knew the battery on her pistol light would not last for long, so she continued to move forward. When she finally turned around the corner, she came across a gruesome sight. Blood and organs coating the walls; shrapnel and weapons scattered around the bloodied corpses. It was the BLU mercenaries, or what was left of them anyway. Now Miss Pauling was very worried. Violence was something she knew the Mercs were used to, but never to this extent. This kind of savagery was alien to the young assistant. As she began to inspect the carcasses more thoroughly, a large banging noise echoed across the room. The rogue sound seemed to have come from the Intelligence room. Every instinct in her body screamed at her to run away, but Miss Pauling refused. Not all of the BLU mercenaries had been found, and she was certain that some of them were still alive. She had her task, and she was going to fulfil. Even if it meant that she had to do it alone...

Well this is certainly a different type of Source Filmmaker picture. I had an idea in my head to make use of the new Miss Pauling model, as well as make an image related to horror. So I thought why not combine the two and make a cool little narrative for it?
